Petraeus will testify before Biden’s Senate Foreign Relations Committee tomorrow. But, hey, why wait to hear what he has to say when you already know he’s “dead flat wrong”? The bottom line is that the Democrats have irrevocably committed themselves to defeat, and, since it is politically impossible (i.e., unrewarding) for them to change their minds, the facts on the ground in Iraq no longer matter.
