I remember meeting a young man in California. I met Colyn through my Niece Olivia.

Colyn and Olivia and many others live lives that we "typical" folks cannot comprehend. They suffer pain often and some always.

And yet, they too are happy.

My Sis invited my daughter and me to the Oley Conference in San Diego in the Summer of 2008. It was a Blessing I will never forget. I was transported back to the happy faces of the impoverished children of South Africa. Again, impoverished only by worldly standards.

San Diego was a time with kids who had medical problems, some severe enough that many people would avert their eyes if they came upon them. But these kids only wanted to do one thing one evening -- go on a scavenger hunt. Their excitement was contagious and their smiles and their eyes were, to me, forever. Thanks to Colyn's mother, I was cajoled into leading one of the teams. I did not want the hunt to end.

But in this lifetime, there are endings.

But only for the physical.

Colyn is no longer in this Veil of Tears. He is with his Heavenly Father and his Lord Jesus.

While we grieve, angels rejoice and welcome Colyn.
