The Video YouTube and Facebook Do Not Want You To See
“These are Israel’s peace partners.”
Indeed.
Warning: Graphic Images:
Five members of “an Israeli family” — antiseptically left unnamed by the Times — were knifed to death in their sleep but the gravamen of the story was that the Israelis responded by deciding to build more settlements on the West Bank, a decision, our former paper of record sniffed, that “the attack and the government response threatened to drive Israeli-Palestinian peacemaking even further out of reach.”
What’s wrong with this picture? The dwindling prospects of “Israeli-Palestinian peacemaking” is not equally the fault of that butchery and Israel’s decision to build more settlements, as the Times implies. That sort of moral equivalence is in fact a moral outrage. But it is standard operating procedure for the New York Times and indeed for much Western media who occasionally leave off playing “blame America first” only to indulge in an inning or two of “blame Israel first.”
More on reasons why these evil attacks took place at all — one example:
During the week of the terror attack in Itamar:
PA newspaper advertizes football tournament named after the first female suicide bomber”The administration of the Al-Amari youth center [in Ramallah] has announced its plans to launch a youth tournament (for 19-year-olds) to be named ‘Shahida (Martyr) of Honor, Wafa Idris [tournament].’ The Al-Am’ari administration is maintaining contacts with the Palestinian Football Association for permission.”

Note: Wafa Idris was the first Palestinian female suicide bomber. She blew herself up in Jerusalem, killing one and injuring more than 150 on Jan. 27, 2002. As a volunteer for the Palestinian Red Crescent, she was able to bypass Israeli security and enter Jerusalem in a Palestinian ambulance.
And another:
A day before the terror attack in Itamar:
“Advisor to President Mahmoud Abbas… The weapons must be turned towards the main enemy [Israel]“
More from the Jerusalem Post and Ynet.
Here are some barbed comments regarding this Orwellian world we inhabit.
And from Roger Simon himself:
Meanwhile in Gaza “residents from the southern city of Rafah hit the streets Saturday to celebrate the terror attack in the West Bank settlement of Itamar where five family members were murdered in their sleep, including three children.
Residents handed out candy and sweets, one resident saying the joy “is a natural response to the harm settlers inflict on the Palestinian residents in the West Bank.”
Candies and sweets.
Naming the dead — unlike the New York Times.
