Atlas Shrugs: I have reported on many occasions on the number of death threats Rifqa Bary has been receiving from Muslims bent on enforcing the death penalty for apostasy. Power Line: Back in our far-left days, we used to claim that there was no difference between the Democratic Party and the Republican Party. Just one example: Now, for all its innumerable faults the House bill does not include the language being pushed by Hatch and his pals, but if you wanted a reminder of the way that Washington’s increased involvement in health care will inevitably put politics, lobbying, and the whims of powerful politicians ahead of medicine, Orrin [...]

Hood jihadist Nidal Hassan’s ties to the September 11 terrorists. What did Obama know, and when did he know it? Read the Telegraph to find out: Hasan, the sole [...]

As he thinks about reading the entire Government-Run Health Care bill in the Senate: Sen. Tom Coburn, the Oklahoma Republican who developed a close friendship with President Obama when they served together in the Senate, is threatening to have the entire health care bill read on the Senate floor. Love it.

Real sweethearts: As all the constituents did, Teri went through security, camera in hand and in full view, then proceeded to Congressman Gerry Connolly’s office. Once in the office she filled out the visitors form, pulled out her camera and began asking for Rep. Connolly or a staffer to discuss the representatives position on the [...]

Jerry Pournelle: Unemployment is over 10%. It wasn’t supposed to get that high. TARP was supposed to fix that. . . . If the health care bill passes, it will fundamentally convert these United States into a different kind of popular democracy, which generally means rule by a unionized bureaucracy organized to vote. Once that [...]

Glenn Reynolds: IF WE DON’T GET NATIONAL HEALTHCARE, THE TERRORISTS WILL HAVE WON! Participants also said Obama had referred to this week’s shooting rampage at Fort Hood, Texas, in which 13 people were killed. His remarks put in perspective that the hardships soldiers endure for the country are “what sacrifice really is,” as opposed to [...]
