Please Pray for Laura
From my Sis regarding a dear friend of Olivia's -- Carolyn and I met Laura this past summer at the Oley Convention in San Diego:
Dear praying family and friends, Laura (you can see her picture on Olivia's caringbridge website) is in need of a miracle. We met this family 4 years ago and spent wonderful life building time at Oley this past summer. Laura is diagnosed with Pseudo Obstruction, a different "kind" than Olivia and Noah. Laura is a bright 11.5 year old. She is Oklahoma's top speller. She loves to write and read. She LOVES dogs. I tell you this, because many times in our human nature can forget this is not just a diagnosis/prognosis we are praying for, but a precious Child of God!--she is truly a inspiration to us. She has "fungal balls" on her liver and kidneys. This is very serious and Lisa (Laura's mom) was not given a good prognosis when they left the hospital. I just got off the phone with Lisa and they are praying for a miracle for Wednesday, January 7. This is when Laura will go in for another scan to see if these are smaller, or GONE. She has been so sick off and on since September. They are a strong Christian family--Lisa is doing the job of a PICU nurse AT home and gives GOD all the GLORY--for HIS GRACE.
