Sodrel began life sleeping in a dresser drawer. His parents lived on Wainwright Court in New Albany's Beechwood housing project when he was born. His wife, Keta, began life living over a pool room and restaurant in Appalachia. Her mother moved to Jeffersonville from Clay County, Kentucky, when her parents divorced. Both Mike and Keta came from broken homes. Mike's dad was married four times, his mother made three attempts at marriage. Keta's dad was married three times, and her mother twice. Mike and Keta will be married 40 years this coming November. When he speaks of strong family values, it comes from a perspective of two people who had to survive broken homes, and break the cycle of divorce. When he married Keta they were less than broke. They were broke and owed $3000.00. He has been a truck driver and mechanic... worked on an assembly line... been a bank messenger and bank director. He has been on a payroll, and made a payroll.Go Mike, Go!
