Torture Works?
From Hot Air:
Anti-”torture” absolutists like Sullivan adamantly deny that harsh tactics produce reliable information. It’s their way of avoiding the moral dilemma presented by a ticking time-bomb scenario. But they’ll have to face it now, because in four short minutes Brian Ross utterly explodes that particular article of quasi-religious faith as fantasy. Not only did they break Khaled Sheikh Mohammed; not only was the information he gave them valuable; not only did it save lives; but Ross’s sources include people within the CIA who are opposed to the practices. The best part, though? Learning that Ramzi Binalshibh cried like a three-year-old girl.

M, you failed to notice the question mark, but I will let your reading skills and judgementalism pass.
If you are saying you would never use some level of force on a terrorist (please tell us your limits) to save tens or hundreds or even thousands of lives, fine.
I am sure you are aware of your twentieth century history and the efforts used by the allies in the 1940s (please tell us why those efforts were wrong as well).
Please do tell us more on what you would and would not do to save thousands of lives if you could.
Please do not pretend it would be an easy decision — for in so doing, you will not be taken seriously.

I find it interesting that you try to belittle someone that beleives in the teachings of Christ. That does not try to spin his teachings. That you really beleive that information was taken in this way. That you think it’s alright to break the Geneva Convention, and the moral and Christian values of this Country. The house just passed a bill, after over 4 years of holding people with out chargeing them, that may keep President Bush from being tried for War Crimes. But the world will not forget what he’s done. He continues to build the Ratical Muslims case against the Christian Faith.

Lady Blue, do you really believe what you write, or are you just having fun?
Your hatred of President Bush is predictable, but clinically interesting.
Please tell us how the President has violated the Geneva Convention.
Please tell us what you would do if you had a terrorist who knew information that could save tens of thousands of lives if that information were extracted.
And, do please be serious and not sanctimonious.
There are serious arguments to be made, but both you and M have not even attempted to make them.
