Reuters Rot
The internet has, once again, uncovered efforts by the Antique Media to mislead us in this critical time of the Global War on Terror.
Reuters has been busted.
Charles Johnson at Little Green Footballs has caught Reuters selling an altered photograph of Beirut.
And now, Reuters has admitted the forgery was sold as news.
Others tracking as well. . . .
Michelle Malkin enjoys the Reuters Picture Kill notification as well as the Where's there's smoke, there's Photoshop with more details from the blogosphere.
Reutersgate indeed.
UPDATE:
More at National Review Online.
UPDATE II:
Israeli media are watching too.
Ynet News.
Jerusalem Post.
There is no way Reuters can review past nonsense from Hajj as fast as the blogosphere.
The emperor is without clothes, and the entire world is watching.
Thomas Lifson is calling for an investigation and Michelle Malkin is having fun.

Enhanced News Photography is nothing new. We’ve seen it before and we’ll see it again. I know a couple of 12 year old kids who photoshop rings around these embellished pictures. I guess the average citizen is too dumb to realize they’re looking at a phony photo— is that it? Why even bother dressing up a picture if you’re going to do it so crudely? Why not take a sabbatical and immerse yourself in image manipulation software for a year or two and THEN come back and doctor the pix!

What a terrible Photoshop job. I could have done much better.
