Is not a coward, but his policy is cowardly.
So seems to be the reaction of some.
I would agree, since I trust those with boots on the ground in the current war, than those perhaps still fighting our most lamentable “conflict” and all of the baggage that came with it.
UPDATE:
Hillary agrees Murtha is wrong.

So is it cowardly to remove 20,000 troops from Iraq just because your approval rating is at an all-time low? How many years of military service do you have? How many times have you gone to Iraq, if you have, did you leave the green-zone? I am an Iraq war veteran, and when listen to the congresswoman from Ohio say the things she did, I was never more disgusted by the republican party than that day. It doesn’t matter if your a republican or democrat, if you served you deserve the utmost respect. No person knows more about war than the veteran. Today, we have politicians and media personalities talking about war, making decisions about war, and none of them have served. How pathetic. I can just imagine what John McCain is thinking when he looks to his left and right when sitting on the Armed Service committee. He must think, what do these people here even know about the military? You bloggers think you know whats best for our military, you think you know whats in our minds as we fight Mr. Bush’s war. But you have no clue. We actually are counting down the days before we go home, hopefully not injuried, hopefully alive. Its mostly about how many days left we got in this hot, stinky, dangerous country. If you are for this war, its very simple, every major city in the United States has atleast one recruiting office, most counties have atleast one recruiting office. Get off your butt, walk or drive downtown and see a recruiter. If you are under the age of 35, join up.
